Kitchen Design Services was excited to partner with local Palo Alto interior design firm, Design Loft, to create a contemporary kitchen to match the modern architecture and interiors of this newly built, custom house. The owners wanted to present a gorgeous property for sale in the competitive, high-end market in Palo Alto. So, this house needed a well-designed kitchen with excellent finishes to appeal to Silicon Valley executives and their families as potential buyers.

Kitchen Design Services designed the kitchen space and provided the cabinetry, while Design Loft chose a combination of quarter sawn walnut and white gloss foil by Ovation Cabinetry on flat paneled doors for a clean, contemporary look.

Material choice was a big factor in determining the style, but other features add to the overall look. Lift-up glass doors, an extra-large island with custom-built steel legs, soapstone countertops, linen-like glass globe pendants, and mid-century modern chairs create a warm, sophisticated, and contemporary kitchen.
